Mid-America Trucking Show 2024 Starts March 21st

What may be the single largest trucking event (either that or the Walcott Truckers Jamboree) is just around the corner yet again: the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) for 2024 is all set to go in Louisville, Kentucky, and it is hoping to be the biggest one yet.

“MATS is the one event on the industry calendar that brings the entire industry together face-to-face to see the latest innovations and collaborate to define the future of trucking,” said Toby Young, President of the MATS. “MATS is the best opportunity for more than tens of thousands of trucking professionals to experience hands-on demonstrations and find solutions to improve their businesses.”

Listed featured events of the 2024 convention include:

• An estimated 860 different exhibitors in the exhibitor’s hall across over one million square feet of exhibit space.
• 40+ education seminars covering numerous aspects of the trucking industry, including guest speaker Sue Lawless, Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
• Ride & Drive: free test drives of trucks complete with the latest and greatest readily available technology.
• PKY Truck Championship, promising sights of “the most elite custom show trucks in North America” in a truck beauty contest (unfortunately, the submission deadline for this has long since passed, but check the website often for the 2025 contest if you wish to directly participate with your rig).
• Big Rig Build-Off: see expert mechanics build trucks in real-time, competing for a hefty cash prize based on form and function.
• Premium seminars for different industry stakeholders, such as “Certified Master Carrier Live w/ Kevin Rutherford” for owner-operators, Rutherford being the host of the podcast Trucking Business and Beyond.

Conclusion

MATS 2024 will run from Thursday, March 21st to Saturday, March 23rd. During the event, free parking will be available for all truckers in an adjacent lot, with shuttle services providing transportation to the festivities.

If you are interested in registering and attending, you can do so through the MATS registration portal. Base attendance prices start at $10, but there exist premium sessions for specific occupations in the industry at an additional price.
