Driverwyze to Add Pennsylvania to Bypass System
Driverwyze, a company that works with the Department of Transportation and other enforcement agencies on the road, is adding Pennsylvania to the list of states that it serves for bypassing weigh stations for truckers.

Driverwyze’s PreClear system enables drivers, either through ELD, tablet, or phone, to skip weigh stations and other inspection stations in a legal way and without penalty, provided that a carrier has offered ample evidence that they keep their safety scores high. Serving 44 states before this announcement to add Pennsylvania, Driverwyze PreClear will now be available in 45 states–the excluded ones being Georgia, Oklahoma, New York, Washington, and Alaska.
“This is a key new state in our network, and we’re ecstatic to now have Pennsylvania on board,” said CEO of Drivewyze Brian Heath in a statement. “Pennsylvania is a major thoroughfare for freight transport, and this will give our PreClear customers additional opportunities for bypass—saving time and money while allowing drivers to pull more miles.”
Pennsylvania has 37 designated weigh/inspection stations, and based on Driverwyze’s own website listing coverage locations, 36 of them will be skippable with the help of Driverwyze, a truck that is in fantastic condition, and a good reputation heald by the driver’s fleet.
Driverwyze says that their system’s value comes from skipping required stops on trucks that would not need an inspection. If a trucker spends five minutes waiting before being given the clearance to go, the total time saved can stack into hundreds of hours every day, which adds up to thousands of lost dollars in productivity for fleets, not to mention fuel costs related to idling.
Conclusion
As of the time of writing, Driverwyze currently has no stated plans to expand its network of saving truckers time by going into the remaining states, but it also hints at this possibility by listing on its coverage map that New York, Washington, and Oklahoma are “under construction.” Presumably, the company is still negotiating with those states’ Departments of Transportation.
Beyond the United States, Driverwyze works with the Canadian government to allow bypassing of specific stations in Alberta and Ontario.
